Jace's family has been talking about building a family cabin for a couple of years now. This year, it is finally becoming a reality. We have spent the last two weekends in the mountains camping at the cabin site, so that we could build it. There have been a few previous trips to clear the land, and prepare the foundation for the "big build, " which was to take place over a 10 day period. Between Jace and some of his brothers, there were at least two people working on the cabin from sun up to sundown over 10 days. Jace and I were there for two long weekends, but he did have to go to work for a 3 days in between. We made a ton of progress. When we started, it was just a stem wall, and as you can see, we now have a finshed floor, and the outside structure is almost finished. We can't wait to have it finished so that we can actually put it to use!!
