Zoo Day

We recently started a sticker chart system for Riley to help encourage good behavior. She filled up her chart, so we got to have a zoo day with Lexi and Hannah. It was a lot of fun. Riley loved the hippo and the monkeys. Payton was super giddy about going on the carousel. She giggled and tickled the monkey she was riding the whole time. When we rode the train, I asked her if it was fun, and she told me it was "pretty cute." We laughed really hard when we were checking out the gorillas, and one of them came right in front of us and decided to play with his poop. It was pretty funny, and really gross. He smeared it all around and smelled it, Riley laughed and said, "Gross! We don't eat our poop!" So funny. When we were on our way home, Payton fell asleep, and for some reason Riley thought this was funny (which is silly, because it isn't that unusual). She said "I am going to have to tell Daddy about Payton falling asleep in the van. Who ever heard of a baby sleeping in the van?" Then she started laughing with herself about it. It was a really good day, and I think Riley especially loved it. It was good for her to enjoy her reward for all the good things she has been doing. She has decided that when she fills up her next sticker chart, she wants to go get ice cream at the "ice cream store" (AKA Marble Slab Creamery).

We LOVED the Denver zoo! When we went the baby gorilla was just born and there were twin polar bears and snow leopards playing. Such fun memories! You are such a good mom, Jody.
